General Settings

In the general settings screen you define the general setup of the Autotrader. Autotrader can automatically load the TWSautostart program for you and determine at which time to autostart. You can download the TWSstart program here. The Autotrader can also be stopped automatically. The program quits automatically at the preprogrammed time.

In the trade settings you set the file name preferences for trading. Trading is very very fast because a filewatch event from the operating systems is set. Normally your trade gets executed in half a second or less. (depending on interactive brokers execution)

Good Practices:

- Start the autotrader with Windows NT scheduler at a specific time.
- Stop the autotrader just after closing time of the exchange you are trading.
- If you are trading futures let the system warn you about the expiration date.
